I can see Spring!

Could it be? Could it actually be springtime? Utah tends to do this to me. It likes to tease me with these glorious days filled with sunshine and warmth. However, the past TWO days, yes two whole days, have been absolutely beautiful. And I love it. I can actually tell how much it has lifted my spirits and made me less of a pain. You wouldn't think weather could have such an effect on you, but on the contrary. Cold makes me depressed, and sunshine makes me happy. Makes sense (I do love the rain though... But it has to be summer rain, not cold winter rain). This has also inspired me to actually go running. I have been running for two days in a row, and honestly, that's really not saying anything. It's just two days. But I'm really hoping to stick it out this time and go running as much as I can. I hate running. However, I do love how I feel after I run. All those endorphins racing through my body. LOVE it. So hopefully all this sunshine will help keep me motivated to run.

AND I GET TO GO HOME FOR MOTHER'S DAY! Heck to the freaking yes. I haven't been home since Christmas and I have been homesick like CRAZY. But, my parents love me and are bringing me home to celebrate Mother's day. I really can't wait (if you couldn't tell). We're planning a day trip with the family to the beach. OH the beach. How I have missed it so much! I can't even remember the last time I went... Maybe last July? Yeah, that sounds about right. I don't understand how people who live with out a beach can survive so long with out it. I'm going nuts!

Also, I am going to South Dakota for the Fourth of July. What's in South Dakota, you may ask. Well, I'm going with Kenzi and James, because Kenzi is from South Dakota and that's where her parents are located. I recently just met them during conference weekend, and they are pretty much awesome. I love them already. So we'll be going there for Fourth of July, and I get to see Kera hopefully as well! Which is awesome because I haven't seen her in FOREVER and I finally get to see her and her adorable boy Ethan. He has thee BEST facial expressions. I love it. Well, I guess that's all for now. Until next time!

  1. Actually, there is a disorder known as Seasonal Affective Disorder where people who are inclined to mood changes are affected by the weather! I know a lot of people who are just like that. When it's gloomy outside, they feel the same.

I really need to get out and get more exercise so you're awesome for having gone running for the last two days. Go Melissa!

Ohhh, and take a lot of pictures of South Dakota. I've always wanted to visit the Dakotas.
