Often times I am so negative and all I do is complain. This is something that I am becoming increasingly aware of, and I am desperately trying to work on. What better way to start, than to list the things to which I am thankful for? Hopefully this will be the jumpstart I need to have a more positive attitude toward my life.

I think that everyone should watch this video:

He’s completely right! Most people (including myself) take advantage of these wonderful creations and inventions that we use every day. We complain if they aren’t working precisely right, and who are we to feel so entitled to these things? They are a gift and a blessing to each and every one of us.

Here is my little list including the littlest and most random items, to those that are completely obvious (and in no particular order):

Family. Friends. Best friends. ‘Besterly-sister’. Chocolate & peanut butter. Clothes. Boots. Scarves. Sunshine. My beautiful little baby car. A piano that I can practice on. Music. Happy music. Calming music. ‘Gangsta’ music. Dancing. Having a brain. My job. Love. Laughter. Life. The internet. Airplanes. Food of all kinds. Water. Mountain Dew. Energy drinks. Kindness from strangers. Kindness from friends. My FHE group. Church. Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ. Late nights. Long drives. Wonderful examples. Massages. Surprises. My reliable phone. Hair dye. Great books. Nail polish. The Office. Modern Family. Funny YouTube videos. My home not being terribly far away. Living right down the street from my job. Writing. My lovely journal. Air-conditioning/Heating. Cayenne pepper pills. Valerian. Vitamin B complex. Co-workers. Beautiful nature. People who still love me when they are no longer obligated to. My wonderfully soft blanket. Penguins. My two beautiful nieces who make me smile. Good-timing. Second chances. Hot tubs. The gym. Capturing memories with a camera. Feel-good movies. Reminders that there are good people left in the world. Kisses. Hugs. Cuddling. Being comforted. Comforting others. Being there for loved ones. And so much more.

So, here’s to having a better outlook on life. Here’s to being more positive and happy. Here’s to sharing that with others and helping to make this world a better place, one step at a time.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
