I am learning.

Today, I have been learning a lot about patience. Mostly from two great talks by Kent F. Richards and Paul V. Johnson.

Everyone has trials. And of course there are trials that seem bigger than others, but it honestly depends on the person. Sometimes the worst thing a person faces in their life is not getting the car they want. Others it's the death of a loved one. Regardless of what the trial is, whether it's big or not depends on the person experiencing it.

I have learned within the last couple days that patience and faith are key. We need to know that God doesn't give us trials because he hates us. It's actually the very opposite. We are given these trials because He knows that we can handle them. He knows that they will help us grow as people and we will learn important things from these experiences that we will need later on in life, to benefit not only ourselves, but those we come in contact with as well.

Another thing I learned today is that these trials are going to go on as long as we individually need them to. That's where the faith and patience really comes in. Patience to be able to last through the trial, and faith that this is something that needs to happen.

It's not easy. And I don't think it ever will be, but if it were easy, no one would ever grow. We would never learn. With out disappointment, we would never know happiness.

That's what I learned today :)
