Summer is my favorite!

So, just as I'm thinking that my life is boring and I'm stuck in a rut, good things come my way.

James surprised me on Friday night and took me to Comedy Sportz! I've been to Comedy Sportz before, but it was in California, and this one was in Provo. And it was still a ton of fun! And it was something that we don't normally do. There was a LOT of laughing, which I absolutely love! So there's a start :)

Then on Saturday, the lovely Miss Katie Loveless had her birthday party. Unfortunately, we couldn't do the fabulous garden party as planned, due to the storms we had over the weekend (which will be scheduled for another time, so I'm happy about that!), but it was still a LOT of fun. I swear, I have the coolest friends up here. We drank de-alcoholized wine. I didn't like it too much, but I still felt pretty trendy, and we all had a lot of fun still. Towards the end of the night we played a game called "would you rather". It's a game that gives you these choices and you have to choose one or the other. Example: Would you rather have a mechanical sound coming from your head each time you concentrate on something, or have your heart audibly beating each time you saw someone attractive. It was pretty great :D

Sunday was basically normal. Then Monday was almost normal. Everything went as it always does, except we ran out of seats in the customer support section at work, so I got to sit in the monitoring station room. It was quiet, but definitely a nice change of scenery.

And now today! I was going along my usual day at work, and had just a couple of hours left. We have a department at APX called Home Damages. This is the department that takes care of any damages done by our technicians either during installation, or a service. Apparently that department is really backed up right now, and is in the process of hiring new people, but in the mean time, they really need help. So they chose two people from customer support to help for the rest of the week! Instead of taking calls all day, I'm going to be making calls, filling out reports, and calling various places to have them fix whatever it is that needs to be fixing. It doesn't sound very fun, but I'm actually really excited! It's going to get me some more experience, and it's something different. I did ask life for a curveball, and although this isn't exactly what I had in mind, I'm going to embrace it :)

Also, I was just reminded on how much I actually like the rain. However, it has to be summer rain. And the thunder and lightning going on tonight is only a plus. I love it.

One last thing! James and I are going up to Logan this weekend to hang out with our incredible friends Ryan and Michelle Lindsley! We get to see Toy Story 3 for FREE!! Which I'm stoked about! And I'm also very excited to see my friends since I hardly ever get to see them. And James finally got his Sentra fixed, which means we don't have to pay an arm and a leg for gas to get up there.

Yay for being happy!
That's all.
Kay, bye!
